Photo taken 6 Jan 2009. Another picture of the sparrows perched in the tree and on top of the bush behind my patio. You can get this type of picture in the winter as the tree is bare. In the summer, the tree would have so many leaves you would not be able to see the birds.
There are many different kinds of birds who come around to eat at the bird feeder and suet cakes I hung on my patio fence. I have seen blue jays, cardinals, starlings, mourning doves, a Carolina wren, some chickadees [I think - they may be something else], a whole flock of sparrows, and one time a black crow as large as a cat!
There are also four squirrels who come every day and they are a delight to watch - they are so cute the way they chase each other around and they can actually bark! Also, they make me laugh the different ways they contrive to get at the bird feed. I love watching them.
All of my pictures were taken through the patio glass door with a zoom lens. Some of them, unfortunately, have a reflection on them, but the picture is still good, I think.
